On 6 October 2010, 45 people gathered at the Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne for the very first Appreciative Inquiry Forum – Exploring Appreciative Inquiry in Australia.
The majority of participants were from Victoria, but there were a number of folk from other states as well.
Many others, both in Australia and internationally, sent their apologies, but wanted to know the outcomes of the forum and any future activities or events that may emerge.
In the pages from this section of the website, you will find:
- An overview of the ‘story of the forum’ and its background
- A summary of the ideas that emerged
- Some thoughts/comments about the “What Next”
- A photo gallery
Nine people at the forum, representing three states, volunteered their time and energy to be part of a ‘working party’ to explore moving things forward. As news emerges from their efforts, it will be posted on the site – and there will be many opportunities to become involved for those working with or interested in Appreciative Inquiry in Australia.
